Dear
Volunteer,
We are
preparing for this year's Iowa Children's Water Festival and
we need YOU to volunteer! We are also asking you to help in
recruiting volunteers by referring a friend.
We are
expecting approximately 2,300 5th graders at this year's
festival. We need about 250 volunteers to make this a
successful event. We need the majority of our help in the
following three areas:
1. Class Guides:
(hours approximately 7:30 am -3:30 pm) Individuals willing
to spend the day with a group of 25-30 5th graders and make
sure that they keep on schedule throughout the day. The
teacher and parents provide discipline and crowd control -
you are the timekeeper. (Need 100 individuals.)
Training is provided to class guides the day of the
festival. This job involves a lot of walking.
2. Presenter Assistant:
(hours approximately 7:30 am - 3:30 pm) Individuals willing
to spend the day with one of our exhibitors or presenters
helping in one of several ways. This could include help
with set-up, running errands, gathering supplies, or
assisting with the presentation. (Need approximately 15
individuals.)
3. Lunch Helper: (hours
approximately 10:00 am – 2:00 pm)
