is a growing residential community in Linn County, Iowa, serviced by deep
wells (average 2.4 MGD), with 13,000 accounts, and a Water Department staff
of 14.
The General Manager, under
general direction of the Board of Trustees: formulates and reviews Rules
and Regulations and applicable Standard Specifications of the Department;
oversees Department supervisors in their tasks of operation and maintenance
of the water treatment plants, water distribution system, and business
office; coordinates State and Federal requirements with the operations of
the Utility; manages and plans for the financial, capital, natural, and
human resources of the Department; and performs related duties as required.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in: civil, environmental or construction
engineering (PE certification preferred); or business administration; or
public administration; or an equivalent level of advanced study and
experience; plus a minimum of 5 years experience in a Municipal or
Governmental setting. An Iowa Grade III Water Treatment and Distribution
license, or ability to acquire same.
Salary DOQ, with excellent
